All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The following incidents occurred on Saturday, January 25, 2020:
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At approximately 5:02 a.m., Deputies responded to the W8700 block of CTH B in the Town of Cadiz for a report of a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that Kevin R. Wirtjes, 36, Winslow, IL, was traveling westbound when he lost control of his vehicle due to the snow covered road surface. The vehicle then entered the south ditch, where it struck a culvert and came to a rest. Wirtjes reported that he was not injured and that he was wearing his seatbelt. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At approximately 5:24 a.m., Deputies responded to the N3800 block of STH 69 in the Town of Monroe for a report of a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that Maria L. C. Rodriguez, 27, Freeport, IL, was traveling northbound when she lost control of the vehicle due to the snow covered road surface. The vehicle then collided with a guardrail and came to a rest. Rodriguez and her passenger both reported that they were not injured and that they were both wearing their seatbelts. The vehicle sustained functional damage and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle was driven from the scene.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At approximately 6:34 a.m., Deputies responded to the W900 block of STH 59 in the Town of Albany for a report of an unoccupied vehicle in the ditch with heavy front end damage. It was discovered that the driver had fled the scene. Investigation revealed that at approximately 5:30 a.m., Alyssa D. Fisher, 29, Monroe, WI, was traveling eastbound when she lost control of the vehicle due to the snow covered road surface. The vehicle then exited the roadway and entered the ditch, where is sustained heavy front end damage. The airbags in the vehicle did not deploy. Fisher stated that she was not injured and that she was wearing her seatbelt. The vehicle was left on scene.
Fisher was cited for Failure to Notify Law Enforcement of an Accident, Operating after Suspension, Non-Registration of an Auto, and Operating Too Fast for Conditions.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At approximately 12:18 p.m., Deputies responded to the W9500 block of Rat Hollow Rd in the Town of Adams for a report of a two vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that Rachael E. Catron, 29, Argyle, WI, was traveling westbound and attempted to turn into a private drive. At this time, a vehicle traveling westbound behind Catron, collided with her vehicle. The second vehicle was found to be operated by Evan J. Fair, 23, South Wayne, WI. After the collision, Fair attempted to drive the vehicle from the scene, but his vehicle became disabled when the front left tire came off the vehicle.
Catron reported that she was not injured and that she was wearing her seatbelt. The vehicle sustained functional damage and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle was driven from the scene.
Fair reported that he was not injured and that he was wearing his seatbelt. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Fair was cited for Operate a Motor Vehicle without a Valid License.
