All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The following incidents occurred on Monday, January 27, 2020:
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At approximately 7:01 a.m., Deputies responded to the intersection STH 69 / STH 11 / STH 81 (the Argyle Interchange) in the Town of Monroe for a report of a two vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that Shae M. Goelzer, 23, Monroe, WI, entered the intersection after she reported not seeing any vehicles driving through the intersection. Goelzer then entered the intersection and her vehicle collided with a vehicle that was being driven by Maria B. Johnson, 47, Monroe, WI.
Johnson’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and the airbags deployed. Johnson reported that she was wearing her seatbelt and that she sustained a minor injury in the crash. Goelzer’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and the airbags deployed. Goelzer reported that she was wearing her seatbelt and that she was not injured. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Goelzer was cited for Failure to Yield the Right of Way.
Probation and Parole Arrest:
At approximately 4:25 p.m., Deputies responded to the Green County Probation and Parole Office in the City of Monroe and arrested Candis K. Corning, 32, Monticello, WI, who had a Probation Hold placed on her by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Corning was incarcerated in the Green County Jail.
