All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The following incidents occurred on Wednesday, January 29, 2020:
Unlawful Use of the Telephone – Threats of Physical Harm:
At approximately 11:40 a.m., Deputies began investigating a report of multiple harassing phone calls that were made to several Green County employees by David B. Waage, 66, Monroe, WI. It was discovered that Waage called multiple Green County employees and threatened them with physical harm. Deputies located Waage in the City of Monroe and he was arrested for Unlawful Use of the Telephone – Threats of Physical Harm. Waage was incarcerated in the Green County Jail pending an initial court appearance.
Probation and Parole Arrest:
At approximately 1:08 p.m., Deputies responded to the Green County Probation and Parole Office in the City of Monroe and arrested Derek E. Gobeli, 33, New Glarus, WI, who had a Probation Hold placed on him by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Gobeli was incarcerated in the Green County Jail.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At approximately 5:41 p.m., Deputies, Monroe EMS, and the Monroe Fire Department, responded to the N2200 block of CTH K in the Town of Clarno for a report of a vehicle versus farm equipment crash. Investigation revealed that James A. Sacker, 69, Monroe, WI, was operating a farm tractor that was hauling a manure tank, northbound on CTH K. At this time, a vehicle that was being operated by Steven G. Tessendorf, 57, Monroe, WI, was traveling northbound on CTH K behind the tractor and manure tank. Tessendorf’s vehicle then collided with the back of manure tank.
Tessendorf sustained a non-life threatening injury and he reported that he was wearing his seatbelt. Tessendorf was transported to the Monroe Clinic Emergency Room by EMS. Tessendorf’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and the airbags deployed. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Sacker reported that he was not injured. The farm tractor and the manure tank both sustained damage. The tractor and tank were both removed from the scene.
Sacker was cited for Operating Farm Equipment on a Highway without Proper Lighting.
