All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The following incidents occurred on Friday, February 14, 2020.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At approximately 11:58 a.m., Deputies responded to the intersection of STH 11 and CTH S in the Town of Jefferson for a report of a two vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that Christopher L. Wehinger, 48, Hebron, OH, was traveling northbound on CTH S approaching the intersection with STH 11. Wehinger then stopped at the Stop Sign at the intersection. Wehinger proceeded to wait for traffic to clear so he could enter the intersection. At this time, a second vehicle traveling was northbound on CTH S approaching the intersection with STH 11. This vehicle was found to be driven by Timothy W. Bryant, 55, Freeport, IL. Bryant then lost control of his vehicle due to the ice covered road surface. Bryant’s vehicle then collided with Wehinger’s vehicle. Wehinger reported that he was not injured and that he was wearing his seatbelt. Bryant reported that he was not injured and that he was wearing his seat belt. Both vehicles sustained functional damage and were driven from the scene.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At approximately 3:57 p.m., Deputies responded to the W4800 block of Greenbush RD in the Town of Sylvester for a report of a one vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that Holly A. Morton, 23, Monroe, WI, was traveling eastbound when she lost control of the vehicle due to the ice covered road surface. The vehicle then exited the roadway and collided with a fence. Morton reported that she was not injured and that she was wearing her seatbelt. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
