Maxine Reasa, age 95, of Albany, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. She was born on July 10, 1924 to Fred and Lura (Morris) Williams. Maxine graduated from Monroe High School in 1942.
On October 24, 1943 she married Melvin E. Voegeli. They had two daughters, Brenda and Mary Kay. On August 25, 1962 Maxine married Harry D. Reasa and they resided in Albany. They had one daughter, Angela.
She worked at the Savanna Army Depot near Savanna, IL; Monroe Country Club and did Home Day Care for many years. Maxine was a proud member of the VFW.
Maxine took a great deal of joy in baking for her family and friends. No one will forget the hundreds of pans of her yummy made from scratch brownies and cookies that were enjoyed. She also loved spending time with her grandkids over the years.
She is survived by her daughters: Brenda (Gary) Kranig, of Albany, Mary Kay (Carlton) Wichser, of Evansville and Angela (John) Parr of Monroe; 6 grandchildren, Emily (Greg) Moe, Bryan (Jen) Kranig; Scott Wichser, Cindy (Justin) Herb; and David (Victoria Solomon) Parr & Brett Parr; 6 great-grandchildren: Brittany, Kylie, Kiarra, Austin and Dustin Moe & Sidney Kranig; and 2 great-great grandchildren, Kinsley and Kashton.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Harry; brothers, Harry, Stacey, Clyde and Robert and her sister, Lois Brennan.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 8, 2019 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Dr., and 18th Avenue in Monroe.
Family and friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of service.
