Willis W. Kolden, age 91, of Monroe passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. He was born on November 28, 1928 the son of Alfred and Ida (Everson) Kolden. He was united in marriage to Colleen “Cookie” Virginia Bowman on September 23, 1951. Willis was a graduate of Blanchardville High School. He worked at Dorman’s Cheese Corp. for over 40 years. Willis was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Monroe Moose Lodge #754. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, deer hunting, and playing cards with friends and family.
Willis is survived by his sons, David (Kathy), Bruce (Mary), Curtis (Rhonda), and Brian (Shirley) Kolden all of Monroe; five grandchildren, Brandi (Brian) Wirth, Michael (Katie) Kolden, Brittany Hagermann, Kelsey (Joe) Klohn and Stephanie Kolden; great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Gavin, Briella, Everett, Aaron, Ella, Carly, and Abigail. He is further survived by his sisters, Hazel (Jerry) Gelbach and Volly (Morrion) Berg; and sisters-in-law, Madeline Bowman and Deanne Signer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and brother, Ardell.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Friday, February 7, 2020 at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. John Tabaka officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home from 4-7PM.
