The following incidents occurred on Sunday, March 22, 2020:
Motor Vehicle Crash- Injury:
At approximately 3:00 PM, Deputies responded to the W1700 block of County Highway OK, Town of Decatur, for a single vehicle crash, with injuries.
Investigation revealed CHASITY M. OSTENSON, 32, of Brodhead, was westbound on County Highway OK, when she failed to negotiate a curve and entered the ditch. The vehicle went over a culvert and struck a curve warning sign. CHASITY and a juvenile passenger both reported injuries, but declined medical attention. CHASITY and the juvenile were reported to be wearing their seatbelts. The vehicle sustained severe damage, with no airbag deployment. The vehicle was left at the scene, to be removed at a later time.
Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage/Warrant Arrest:
At approximately 8:41 PM, Deputies responded to the intersection of Skinner Hollow Rd. and County Highway J, Town of Adams, for a single vehicle that was fully engulfed in flames.
Investigation revealed KENT R. JOHNSON, 32, of Monroe, was eastbound on Skinner Hollow Road, when the cabin began filling with smoke. JOHNSON pulled over and he and his passenger, DANIEL J. UBERSOX, 35, of Monroe, exited the vehicle. JOHNSON and UBERSOX reported wearing her seatbelts and sustaining no injuries. The vehicle sustained damage to all areas and was towed from the scene.
UBERSOX was arrested on Warrant and was taken to the Green County Jail. UBERSOX posted bond and was released.
