On March 7, 2020, at 2:12 AM, officers arrested William H. Helfvogt Jr. (41), Monroe, following a traffic offense stop on STH 69 near 16th Street. Helfvogt was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-1st offense, and was also cited for operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration, unsafe lane deviation and open intoxicants in a motor vehicle. Helfvogt was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On March 7, 2020, at 8:53 PM, officers were called to a two vehicle accident with no reported injuries, at 16th Street and 17th Avenue. Investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Dy Anne L. Holverson (59), Monroe, was northbound on 17th Avenue at 16th Street, entered the intersection with 16th Street, and collided with a westbound vehicle on 16th Street operated by Francisco Garcia Gutierrez (26), Monroe. Holverson’s vehicle sustained moderate damage, and Gutierrez’s vehicle sustained disabling damages and was towed. Holverson was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, while Gutierrez was cited for operating without a valid driver’s license. Holverson and Gutierrez were both released pending a court appearance.
On March 7, 2020, at 10:42 PM, officers were called to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 700 block of 20th Street. Investigation led to the arrest of Marques D. Hicks (35), Monroe, on a charge of disorderly conduct under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence laws. Hicks was released after posting cash bail pending a court appearance.
