Eileen Marceda Fuchs, age 81, of Monroe passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the Monroe Clinic Hospice Home. She was born the daughter of Fred and Anna (Marty) Kraus, Jr. on August 3, 1938 in Monroe. She attended country school and was a 1956 graduate of Monroe High School. Eileen was united in marriage to Harland Fuchs on August 18, 1956 at St. John’s United Church of Christ.
Eileen was a dietary aide for the Monroe Hospital and Clinic for 30 years. She enjoyed, along with her husband, bowling, square dancing and polkas at Turner Hall, and being a member of the Antique Car Club. She loved country music and would play her records over and over again. Eileen was a talented artist and liked ceramics and artex painting. She also had a special love for her cats. Eileen especially enjoyed spending time with her family and babysitting her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Harland of Monroe; sons, Craig (Darlene), Daniel (Jonelyn), and Jeffrey (Heidi) Fuchs all of Monroe; granddaughters, Jennifer (Daniel) Sills, Desire (Jeffrey) Alt, and Felisha Fuchs; grandson, Garrett Fuchs; great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Alex Alt, Jaelynn Nieman and Wynter Hardin; as well as nieces, nephews, in-laws, many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Robert and Alvin Kraus; and sister, Joyce Drews.
Due to the current health concerns, Private Family Services are being held with Rev. Christie Mandas officiating. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
A public Celebration of Eileen’s life will be held at a later date.
