All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The following incidents occurred on Friday, April 17, 2020:
Probation and Parole Arrest:
At approximately 10:04 a.m., Deputies responded to the Green County Probation and Parole Office in the City of Monroe and arrested Andrew S. Shearer, 38, Brodhead, WI, who had a Probation Hold placed on him by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Shearer was incarcerated in the Green County Jail.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At approximately 11:54 a.m., Deputies responded to the W2100 block of STH 11 in the Town of Spring Grove for a report of a two vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that Tiffany A. Busch, 46, South Wayne, WI, was traveling eastbound when her vehicle collided with a vehicle in front of her that was stopped in the eastbound lane of traffic waiting for traffic to clear to make a left turn. The vehicle that was attempting to turn left was found to be driven by James E. Bartholf, 80, Monroe, WI.
Busch reported that she was not injured and that she was wearing her seatbelt. Busch’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and the airbags deployed. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Bartholf reported that he was not injured and that he was wearing his seatbelt. An adult passenger in the vehicle reported that they were not injured and that they were wearing their seatbelt. Bartholf’s vehicle sustained functional damage and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle was driven from the scene.
Busch was cited for Failure to Keep Vehicle under Control.
Drug Arrest:
At approximately 7:02 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a violation in the 1200 block of 1st Center Ave in the City of Brodhead. The traffic stop resulted in the driver, Caleb M. Elmer, 17, Monroe, WI, being arrested for Possession of THC with Intent to Distribute (Felony) and for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. Elmer was also cited for Operating after Suspension. Elmer was incarcerated in the Green County Jail pending an initial court appearance.
