All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The following incidents occurred on Saturday, July 11, 2020:
Domestic Abuse Arrest:
At approximately 12:03 a.m., Deputies responded to a residence in the 100 block of E Old Highway Rd in the Town of Cadiz for a report of a disturbance. Investigation resulted in Randall E. Halvorson, 66, Browntown, WI, being arrested for False Imprisonment (Felony) and Disorderly Conduct, both Domestic Abuse related. Halvorson was also arrested for Obstructing an Officer. Halvorson was incarcerated in the Green County Jail pending an initial court appearance.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At approximately 3:21 p.m., Deputies responded to the N8300 block of CTH E in the Town of Brooklyn for a report of a car versus deer crash with injuries. Investigation revealed that Mikayla R. Montalto, 25, Columbus, WI, was traveling southbound when a deer entered the roadway and collided with her vehicle. Montalto reported that she was wearing her seatbelt and that she sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash. Two adult passengers in the vehicle both reported that they were wearing their seatbelts and that they were not injured.
The vehicle sustained disabling damage and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
OWI Arrest:
At approximately 8:14 p.m., Deputies responded to the intersection of CTH E and Condon Rd in the Town of Decatur for a report of a vehicle in the ditch. Investigation resulted in the driver of the vehicle, Jarard J. Wargowsky, 36, of Janesville, WI, being arrested for Operate While under the Influence (alcohol) 1st Offense. Wargowsky was also cited for Operate after Revocation (Traffic Crime) and for Failure to Maintain Control of Vehicle. Wargowsky was incarcerated in the Green County Jail pending the release to a responsible party.
The Brodhead Police Department assisted Deputies with the investigation.
