Calendar (Alternate) Parking: November 15th – March 31, 2024
Calendar (Alternate) Parking for the City of Monroe will go into effect at 12:01 AM on November 15th
and will continue through March 31st of 2024. Vehicles must be parked on the corresponding side of
the street according to the day of the month, between 12:00 AM (midnight) and 7:00 AM. This City
ordinance is enforced from 12:00 AM until 7:00 AM each day. Those who violate the ordinance will
receive a citation for $20.00, and repeat offenders risk additional citations and fees.
What does that even mean?
At night, park your vehicle on the side of the street according to the date it will be in the morning.
Nearly all areas in the City are covered by these regulations, with the exception of the Downtown
Square and two blocks in any direction of the Square that are deemed snow routes. Additional snow
routes are located in the downtown and Smokey Row areas. Snow routes are marked with signs and
must be completely vacated of parked vehicles until such time as the snow has been removed after
a snow accumulation of two (2) inches or more.
Please contact the Police Department for any questions involving calendar parking, fee enforcement,
or emergency snow removal by calling or texting the non-emergency line at 608-329-2400.
