All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The following incidents occurred on Tuesday, March 3, 2020:
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At approximately 7:20 a.m., Deputies responded to the N5500 block of CTH J in the Town of Washington for a report of a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that Kathleen A. Zeier, 58, Ridgeway, WI, lost control of her vehicle due to the snow covered road surface. The vehicle then exited the roadway and collided with a traffic sign. The vehicle then entered the ditch where it came to a rest. Zeier reported that she was not injured. The vehicle sustained minor damage and remained on scene.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At approximately 7:30 a.m., Deputies, Green County EMS, and the Browntown Fire Department responded to a single vehicle crash with injuries in the W9500 block of CTH MM in the Town of Cadiz. Investigation revealed that Lynn M. Roper, 35 Woodford, WI, was traveling eastbound when she lost control of her vehicle due to the snow covered road surface. The vehicle then struck a guardrail and then entered a field where it came to a rest. Roper reported that she was wearing her seatbelt. Roper was transported to the Monroe Clinic Emergency Room by EMS for non-life threatening injuries. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle was left on scene.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At approximately 7:33 a.m., Deputies, Green County EMS, and the Monroe Fire Department responded to the W6300 block of STH 11 in the Town of Monroe for a report of a single vehicle rollover crash. Investigation revealed that Mary H. Morton, 65, Monroe, WI, was traveling eastbound when she lost control of her vehicle due to the snow covered road surface. The vehicle then exited the roadway and overturned. Morton was extricated from the vehicle by the Monroe Fire Department. Morton reported that she was not injured. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At approximately 7:34 a.m., Deputies responded to the N3200 block of CTH N in the Town of Monroe for a report of a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that William J. S. Whalen-Bridge, 24, Madison, WI, was traveling southbound when he lost control of his vehicle due to the snow covered road surface. The vehicle then collided with a traffic sign and came to a rest. Whalen-Bridge reported that he was not injured and that he was wearing his seatbelt. The vehicle sustained functional damage and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle was left on scene.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At approximately 7:45 a.m., Deputies received a report of a single vehicle crash that had occurred at the intersection of CTH MM and Buckhorn Rd in the Town of Cadiz. Investigation revealed that Courtney K. Grossen, 38, Browntown, WI, had lost control of her vehicle due to the snow covered road surface. The vehicle exited the roadway and entered the ditch. Grossen reported that she was not injured and that she was wearing her seatbelt. The vehicle sustained minor damage. The vehicle was removed from the scene.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At approximately 8:07 a.m., Deputies responded to the intersection of Iliff Rd and Aebly Rd in the Town of Monroe for a report of a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that Tracey L. Kamps, 50, Argyle, WI, lost control of her vehicle due to the snow covered road surface. The vehicle then slid through the intersection and entered the east ditch of Aebly Rd. Kamps reported that she was wearing her seatbelt. Kamps reported that she sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash. The vehicle sustained minor damage and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle was left on scene.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At approximately 8:18 a.m., Deputies, Belleville EMS, and the Belleville Fire Department responded to the W3900 block of CTH W in the Town of Exeter for a report of a single vehicle rollover crash. Investigation revealed that Laura E. Kniffen, 41, New Glarus, WI, was traveling eastbound when she lost control of her vehicle due to the snow covered road surface. The vehicle then entered the ditch where it overturned. Kniffen reported that she was wearing her seatbelt and that she sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash. The vehicle sustained severe damage and the airbags deployed. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
The Green County Highway Department assisted Deputies at the scene.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At approximately 3:19 p.m., Deputies responded to the intersection of STH 11 and CTH G in the Town of Spring Grove for a report of a two vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that Hilary A. Zimmerman, 40, Brodhead, WI, was traveling westbound on STH 11 and attempted to turn onto CTH G. At this time, a second vehicle was traveling westbound on STH 11 behind Zimmerman’s vehicle. The second vehicle was being operated by Brittany H. Graber, 30, Monroe, WI. Upon Zimmerman attempting to turn on CTH G, Graber’s vehicle collided with Zimmerman’s vehicle.
Zimmerman and her three passengers all reported that they were not injured and that they were all wearing their seatbelts. Zimmerman’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and the airbags did not deploy. Zimmerman’s vehicle was towed from the scene.
Graber reported that she was not injured and that she was wearing her seatbelt. Graber’s vehicle sustained functional damage and the airbags did not deploy. Graber’s vehicle was driven from the scene.
Graber was cited for Following Too Closely.
OWI 3rd Offense Arrest:
At approximately 10:40 p.m., Deputies responded to the N1900 block of STH 69 in the Town of Clarno for a report of a vehicle in the ditch. Investigation revealed that a licensed juvenile driver was traveling northbound when they reported that they fell asleep. The vehicle then exited the roadway and entered the east ditch where the vehicle came to a rest. The juvenile driver reported that they were not injured and that they were wearing their seatbelt. The vehicle did not sustain any damage. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
While Deputies were on scene investigating the incident, a second vehicle arrived on scene. Deputies made contact with the driver of the second vehicle, who was identified as Kurt A. Homerding, 50, Monroe, WI. Investigation resulted in Homerding being arrested for Operate While under the Influence (alcohol) 3rd Offense. Homerding was incarcerated in the Green County Jail and was released after the posting of bond.
