The following occurred on March 10th, 2020:

Motor Vehicle Crash with Injuries
At 2:55 PM, Green County Deputies, Albany Fire Department, Albany EMS, and Albany Police Officers were dispatched to the intersection of CTH X and CTH EE, Town of Albany, for a vehicle vs milk truck crash. One of the vehicles over turned and the driver was trapped.
Investigation revealed that a vehicle driven by John Lawrence, 84 of rural Albany, was westbound on CTH EE and the milk truck, driven by Eric Peterson, 54 of rural Monroe, was at the stop sign on Tin Can Rd. Eric did not see John and continued north through the intersection. The milk truck struck John’s vehicle and sent it into the northwest ditch where it overturned.
John was wearing his seat belt and was injured. John’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and the airbags deployed. John’s vehicle had to be removed from the scene by a tow truck. John was freed from the vehicle and taken to a hospital by an ambulance.
Eric was wearing a seat belt and not injured. Eric’s truck sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. A citation for failure to yield to the right of way is pending for Eric.
Motor Vehicle Crash with No Injuries
At 4:29 PM, Deputies responded to a two vehicle crash on STH 59 at Weiss LN in the Town of Monroe and one of the vehicles fled the scene.
During the investigation it was learned a school bus operated by James Wells, 78 of Monroe, was travelling east bound on STH 59 when he started to slow down to turn onto Weiss Ln. The second vehicle operated by Dawn Seavert, 40 of Evansville, then collided with the back of the bus. Seavert checked on the driver and when Wells stated he was okay, Seavert returned to her vehicle and drove away. Seavert was later located and spoken to in regards to the crash.
No one was injured and everyone was wearing a seatbelt during the crash. There were no airbags deployed in either vehicle and there were no passengers in either vehicle. The bus and car sustained moderate damage, but both vehicles were driven from the scene.
Citations for no insurance, failure to report a crash to law enforcement,and failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle are pending for Seavert. The Rock County Sheriff’s Department assisted in theinvestigation.
Warrant Arrest
At 8:31 PM, Jacob Riley, 23 of Argyle, walked into the Green County Sheriff’s Office and turned himself in on a probation hold/warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections – Probation and Parole. He was taken into custody by the jail staff and incarcerated without incident.
