Following the lead of other FFA Organizations across the state, last week the Monroe FFA purchased 200 gallons of milk from the New Glarus Dairy last week to donate to area families
The milk was delivered to Monroe families that are receiving meals from the Monroe School District during the COVID-19 shutdown. The school district continues to deliver breakfast and lunch to area students who have signed up for the program.
The goal of the donation of milk was two-fold. First, to support dairy farmers, some of whom have been forced to dump milk due to decreased demand and supply chain issues. Second, to help support families who are relying on the meals from the school district.
